My Marriage lessons with the Holy Spirit 👍.

When I tell people that the Holy Spirit is a being, a person with His own unique personality like God The Father and God The Son I know what I'm saying. Permit me to share a little story to illustrate.

My husband Pst John Anietoh and I will be nine years in marriage this year and today in the place of prayer 🙏 today I experienced a profound conversation between me and my main lover The Holy Spirit as I reminisced about my marriage that I believe is what sharing for someone to glean from.

In the early years of my marriage we battled with personality differences. Our personalities were a perfect match between us till the day we said "I do" 😂🤣🤣. Gist reaching me later even has it that we had a little gbas gbos during our wedding reception but honestly daughter of Zion doesn't have even the foggiest idea of such anymore 🤷.

The reason is not far fetched anyway. I'm predominantly a choleric introvert while my love brother Pst. John Anietoh as you must have rightly guessed is the direct opposite of my personality traits. So we signed up for a bumpy jolly ride when we got married 🚴👫.

Most times the d£vil doesn't have time for those who are dating... the moment he hears "Yes I do", he will carry his bags and relocate to your doorpost 😁.

I'm not the type of person that goes about telling everyone what is going on in my life, I'm a fixer by nature and I've always tried my best to fix things on my own but at some point, it became overwhelming 🙄

I remember vividly one fateful day that we had disagreement and argument, I needed someone to talk to urgently 😀.

I walked into the Chapel that day and started a ranting conversation with my Senior LOVE ... The Holy Spirit 😘

It was actually the first time I brought up marriage as a point for discussion with the Holy Spirit during prayers, I used to pray about my marriage but I never engaged him in a conversation concerning it 🤷. I erroneously thought He (The Holy Spirit) was too busy to hear such details. But alas I was so wrong 😭.

I told Him about our personality differences and the disagreements🤷

I narrated what happened to Him exactly the way it happened and told Him what was on my mind👍.

I spoke to Him as if I was speaking to a visible friend and after I finished ranting to my satisfaction, I asked Him to advise me on what to do 👍.

And to my surprise, almost immediately He (The Holy Spirit) said, "God home and pretend like nothing happened, carry out all your duties as a wife, I will fix everything"

I said, "Do you mean I should just pretend like everything is alright?"

He said, "Yes", just go home and be quiet. 

Omor I shock no be small 😧😰😨

I obeyed that instruction (with so much protest within me of course) and everything came back to normal within a very short time unlike before that anger wouldn't not let me behave like a matured adult how much more a wife 🥴😁

The next time we had an argument, I went straight to Him immediately and narrated everything that happened to Him and just like before He gave me the same answer like before 🤷🤐

The third time, I went to him and He still said the same thing 🤷. "Go back home, keep quiet, pretend like nothing happened and continue with your duties".

From that day I stopped complaining 🤷

I started ignoring what makes me angry and trusting him to fix it... It wasn't long before I got used to it and my joy was restored 🤷.

That was when I realized that the personality difference wasn't the cause of my unhappiness, it was rather the way I interprete and react to it that made me unhappy 🤷

One day he taught me a lesson that changed everything 🤷

He said...

"You're different from your husband in so many ways. If both of you are to look at a particular colour, if he sees black, you will see white because you're his opposite👍

He will see black because that's what he's designed to see, you will see white because that's what you're designed to see, you can't see more than white 👍

In actual sense, both of you are right, the colour is black and at the same time white 🤷

If you are wise, you will know that he's the eye and mind you can never have 🤔

If you combine what you see and what he sees together, you will get the perfect picture of the whole colour and you will make a wiser decision🙆

Take every word he speaks and add it to your own and you will be ten times wiser 🙆

This singular lesson HE taught me changed everything till tomorrow 👍.

My husband even confessed that he is always admonished by The Holy Spirit in his own quiet place of prayer whenever we have a disagreement because he finds it difficult to connect to Him as easily as he usually does whenever we are acting drama between us🤣😂... So Oga is always quick to have us settle our differences so that his spiritual antenna can always remain sharp at all times 

I tell you that of a truth, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SUREST PLUG TO A BLISSFUL UNION💑👩‍❤️‍👨
